Illinois

Another marathon finish, another state.  Easy race, and finished a little more than 25% of the goal.  It was a emotional roller coaster of a day.  I learned that I was banned from the Delaware and Maryland race for which I was registered.  Luckily i built in some redundancy into the schedule.  That redundancy is for DNF or race director caused DNS.  I have backup races already scheduled for Delaware and Maryland later in the year.  It's not possible to have redundancy for all the states.  Hope it does happen too many more times.

Kentucky

Another marathon finish, another state.  Race selection like Go or Blokus.

A little more than 20% done with the goal.

Tennessee

God the marathon finish.  Got the state added to the tally. A little less than 20% (10/51 = 19.61%)

Photographers are used to the pace of the runners.  The wheelchairs are a different pace, and a rarity.  They don't know how to lead us to take the picture they want.  I got the feet for pictures, just not the face.

In Tennessee

The border is hilly.  Hope the marathon course is not as hilly.

Mississippi

Got the finish.  Got the state.

Four (4) flats during the race. Three (3) of them on the wheel that is the most difficult to change.

I hope to get back to having nothing to report but a marathon finish and another state captured.

As pointed out before stories require a conflict. Even in the Disney movie there is the moment the children worry about being eaten.  Being more than 1/10 done my normalcy meter can also be biased such that what others would consider a reportable event, I now see as another day same old stuff.

The one report I want to make is another marathon finish.

Colorado

Got my wish from the previous marathon.  There aren't always pictures of my at the race.  I can't take a selfie (hands are busy, and no place for the camera).  Occasionally someone will take my picture and make it available to me to use.  Today was not such an occasion.

Got the marathon finish, got the next state.  I am a little more than 10% (6/51 11.76% ) done with the goal.

Kansas

The infamous "they" say a story needs a conflict.  It may be selfish for me to state to you the reader that I hope to have no stories.  If the rest of the races are like today, got the marathon finish, no drama equipment or people wise.  Boring.  Here is to more boring days.  Hope to just notch more states on my head board.

Oklahoma

Compared to yesterday much easier course.  Of course what wouldn't be.  The problems I did have, were with some of the race participants.  The vast majority of marathons are very supportive of the wheelchair participants.  Races are one of the most supportive environments I immerse myself.  Sometimes you run into marathoners who are antagonistic to wheel chairs.  There were a couple here that wanted me to do just that, run into them.  They would change their line just at the last minute requiring a substantial adjustment.  Once it was so severe I flipped.  Luckily, I could right myself and get another marathon finish.
